Let
Freedom Cry!
Let Freedom Cry! Let the whole
world sing! How powerful is the freedom of the word; it creates a sense of
humor, love, fresh air, sunshine and excitement. Humans, animals, and even
plants thrive on landfills. We can enjoy freedom, especially for those who have
been
denied this basic right. But, what is freedom, really?
There are many explanations
available for those who want to know the answer. It is generally
defined as' the power or right to act, to speak, or to think of others without being
disturbed or enslaved. No matter what the definition,
freedom is an attitude; allowing for the flow of personal beliefs and ideas,
allowing for the realization of the dream. Yet everyone's freedom
requires a collective bargaining agreement that personal expressions are not
always acceptable.
Since we can embrace the
concept of freedom, we realize that it is possible only with limits. Harmful
conduct is not acceptable, even if it restricts one's freedom of expression. Behavior
that hurts the nation is an act of rebellion against God, with severe
consequences. In the name of guaranteeing freedom, society sets the
necessary boundaries to ensure the freedom of all. We call it the law of the
land; all nations are stopping these. When violated or ignored, people and
their freedoms are at stake.
There is a fatal flaw in
mankind; we see it as denying or pretending not to see, and it is dangerous. The
reason for this refusal to identify or perform potentially dangerous events is
usually due to fear, greed, control or deception. Those motives become worse
when they interfere with the community's ability to relax.
When we gossip and talk
about behavior that we know is harmful to us and others, but we choose to look
the other way, we are drawing a path that envelops our freedom from the flames
of destruction. Our era of freedom is fast approaching. Is there a way back to
the glory we once created?
To return to freedom requires a
day of reckoning; a time when we are determined to bring out the worst in humanity. When we do this, we
can let the weak be strong, and we can no longer allow the good to be bad; we
must roll the stone away from the cave of darkness that protects the guilty and
let the guilty pay. This is a real day to respond and our
Independence Day.
Looking the other way,
pretending not to notice is dangerous for everyone, not just those who do not
want to see what is happening. This puts everyone on
the brink of disaster without our permission to travel this treacherous course. Everyone's freedom is at stake if this behavior is
allowed to continue. There can be no forgiveness without the need for
change. If we stand firm in that need, we let the world know that this is the Day
of Judgment.
Our independence and freedom
requires that we not look back, look at our past and paint a new path that
leads to a plan that we all agree on. There must be a day of
retribution, punishment and a change of behavior if we want to remain free. If
we revisit this lesson, it is Independence Day, too. Let freedom cry out!
